da roleta: The young winger stepped up in a substitute appearance to show she has what it takes to be a starter in New Zealand in the coming weeks
da mrbet: The United States women's national team will certainly feel Mallory Swanson's absence at the World Cup this summer. How couldn't you? At the time of her injury, there were few players in the world in better form than Swanson, who looked poised for a breakout tournament. But against Wales, on a day where the USWNT's attack sputtered once again, Swanson's potential replacement stepped up and made her case in dominant fashion.
Trinity Rodman scored both goals in the USWNT's 2-0 win on Sunday in a game that certainly wasn't ideal for a team heading to the World Cup this week. A rough and tumble clash with several hard fouls, the U.S. looked like a team still building chemistry, not like one whose next game will be a World Cup opener.
Rodman made life a bit better with her winner, which came on a picture-perfect cross from Sophia Smith. It was a standout performance from the Washington Spirit star, who actually came off the bench to play centrally, despite primarily operating on the wing.
Her second goal, though, was the better of the two, as Rodman curled home a shot from just inside the box to seal the 2-0 win.
Starting on the left was teenager Alyssa Thompson and, during her time on the field, the rising star was the USWNT's most dynamic attacker. Not everything she tried worked out, but she certainly showed plenty of promise in what was a strong showing.
Now, Vlatako Andonovski will have plenty to sort out. Does he go with Rodman or Thompson in the attack? How does he get more out of the forward line than what we saw against Wales? And how, as this cycle nears its end, does he line up a team that still looks like one that has plenty to figure out?

Alyssa Naeher (6/10):
Wales did absolutely nothing to test her, which we can't hold against her, but it does make her hard to grade, doesn't it?
Crystal Dunn (8/10):
Was the USWNT's best source of energy throughout the first half as she got up and down the left-hand side. One sequence saw her make several tackles, headlining a good performance.
Naomi Girma (8/10):
Looks more composed every time we see her. Wales didn't threaten much and, any time they got close, Girma was there to clean it up. She's ready.
Alana Cook (6/10):
Not quite as good as Girma, but also should have scored in the second half. A good run out for that duo, though, as they look to find chemistry before the tournament starts.
Emily Fox (7/10):
Had one fantastic cross in the second half and was otherwise solid enough. You know what you're getting from her, regardless of what side of the field she's on.

Lindsey Horan (6/10):
Was targeted physically, and definitely wasn't afraid of a scrap despite the fact that the World Cup is right around the corner. Had one or two good looks on goal, but wasn't quite sharp enough.
Ashley Sanchez (5/10):
Just didn't really offer anything on either end. Had a chance at the end of the first half that she put high but, other than that, just didn't really impact the game.
Andi Sullivan (6/10):
Had two golden chances in the first half, but missed headers on both. Was a target on set-pieces, which is always good, but not too much other than that.

Alyssa Thompson (7/10):
Shook off a nasty ankle injury and was almost certainly the USWNT's best player in the first half. Despite her age, the teenager is a player that makes things happen and, even if those things don't always come off, they may be the reason she starts at the World Cup.
Alex Morgan (5/10):
Hardly got a touch of the ball in the first half before being taken off for the second. Just not much chemistry with those around her, which is concerning considering where we are in the cycle.
Sophia Smith (7/10):
Orchestrated the USWNT breakthrough, teeing up Rodman for a simple finish. Wasn't quite at her best, but set up the goal and that's all that'll matter.

Trinity Rodman (9/10):
Came on at the half for Morgan and, oddly enough, replaced her down the middle. Was far and away the dominant player on the pitch, scoring both goals while making quite a statement to Andonovski, and the rest of the U.S., for that matter.
Lynn Williams (7/10):
Got the hockey assist on the goal, and what a pass it was. A perfect line-breaking ball right to the feet of Smith, helping create the game's big moment.
Savannah Demelo (7/10):
A wild time to get your first USWNT cap, but you have to say that she looked pretty strong. Definitely added life to the USWNT midfield, showing that the team may just be able to trust her at the World Cup, despite her inexperience.
Sofia Huerta (6/10):
Replaced Fox on the right. Looked solid enough defensively in her 30-ish minutes on the field, but didn't have any of those trademark crosses.
Kristie Mewis (N/A):
Came on late and didn't quite look up it, but she didn't exactly have too much time to catch up to the pace of the game, to be fair.
Emily Sonnett (N/A):
Replaced Cook to get a quick run at center-back. Considering she's the only real backup, that's a good thing.
Vlatko Andonovski (6/10):
Will have some big decisions at the World Cup. Still hasn't quite figured out how to get this team's attack going.
