Tottenham Hotspur are back in the Champions League picture. They have gone four unbeaten in the Premier League, winning three games, and still have everything to play for against RB Leipzig in the first knockout round.Jose Mourinho’s job at Spurs so far has been a resounding success – the league title is well out of reach, so gunning for the top four is a wise move to make. They are still in the FA Cup too, so there could yet be silverware in his first season. The Portuguese chief has also done this with just one transfer window under his belt, one where the club failed to clinch a striker in the absence of star man Harry Kane. Therefore, he has been primarily using the squad that started to falter under former boss Mauricio Pochettino with the exception of Gedson Fernandes and Steven Bergwijn, of course. But if Mourinho wants to take his revolution in north London to the next level, he needs to make a key decision that doesn’t involve any new signings or transfers – those can come later in the summer.Over the last few games, Spurs have looked somewhat suspect defensively having conceded six goals in their previous two domestic outings alone.

Jan Vertonghen almost looks a dead cert to be leaving the club at the end of the season, Toby Alderweireld has been inconsistent in parts, and Davinson Sanchez has been in and out of the side – starting just three of their last six matches.
So it’s time to run and stick with rising starlet Japhet Tanganga in the heart of the defence.
The 20-year-old is on the verge of signing a lucrative new contract, and in just six appearances, he has shown glimpses of why he’s been touted as the next Ledley King at Tottenham.
In the FA Cup, he’s played left-back, right-back and centre-back while in the Premier League, Tanganga has kept two clean sheets including one against Man City’s lethal attack and only lost 1-0 to runaway leaders Liverpool.
King was a rare one-club man having come through the system at White Hart Lane before going on to feature over 300 times for the north Londoners.
Tanganga was born just five miles away from the Spurs legend and has also risen from youth football to first-team stardom, so being held in such high-regard certainly has some considerable strength behind it.
Premier League Inflation: You won’t believe how much these famous transfers would cost today…
He’ll only be able to justify that with game time, and that’s why Mourinho needs to put more faith in the youngster going forward. He’s the future of this team, so he might as well be ingrained into the spine sooner rather than later.
And in other news, Spurs must banish GREALISH-like thoughts to clinch this £30m STAR…
